HARDI Electronics Doubles Sales for Third Consecutive Year
Company Hires VP of Engineering in Lund, Sweden
LUND, SWEDEN – JANUARY 17, 2007 -- HARDI Electronics, the leader in FPGA-based ASIC prototyping, today announced it has doubled sales for the third year in a row. To meet the increased demand for HARDI ASIC Prototyping System (HAPS), the company has hired a VP of Engineering who will be responsible for managing growth of the development department as new products are introduced and as HAPS is further developed.
"I am very happy to announce that our sales during 2006 have exceeded all expectations," stated Lars-Eric Lundgren, President and CEO of HARDI. "The sale of HAPS has been strong worldwide, particularly in U.S. which grew by well over 200% in 2006 making it our largest market today. As we mark the third year of such strong growth, it is clear that we have the products that the big electronics companies need. Our list of customers includes many well-known companies such as Texas Instruments, LSI Logic, Matsushita/Panasonic, Sony and Samsung, and especially exciting is that we now also have many customers in new markets such as India and China."
HARDI Appoints Alf Larsson as VP of Engineering
The company has appointed Alf Larsson as VP of Engineering with responsibility for development of all HARDI ASIC prototyping products. Alf has many years of experience as a design engineer and ASIC specialist at Ericsson as well as other companies. Most recently he served as VP of Engineering at SwitchCore, another high tech company in Lund. Alf will be instrumental as HARDI takes the next step in growing the company and hiring a number of electronic design engineers.
"When I saw HAPS for the first time, I was immediately fascinated by its flexibility and rich number of advanced features," stated Alf Larsson, VP of Engineering at HARDI. "It is exciting to be part of expanding this company, particularly because of its focus on such advanced techniques. My primary task will be to increase and streamline the development of new products but I will also use my extensive ASIC experience to help develop HAPS further."
About HAPS
HAPS (HARDI ASIC Prototyping System) is the first modular FPGA board system providing high speed, high capacity, real-time debugging and full ASIC functionality for ASIC prototyping designers. The system is composed of multi-FPGA motherboards and standard or user developed daughter boards. To accommodate very large designs, users can connect several motherboards in many different ways. HAPS boards give designers virtually the same functionality as the ASIC, at speeds approaching that of the ASIC.
