Lattice Semiconductor and Synplicity Clarify Terms of Development and Marketing Agreement

HILLSBORO, Ore. and SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 21, 2005 - Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC) and Synplicity Inc. (NASDAQ: SYNP) today clarified the terms and expectations of the development and marketing agreement to enhance and promote Lattice FPGA device performance in Synplicity's Synplify Pro® FPGA synthesis tool that was announced by Lattice Semiconductor on April 18, 2005. While the agreement calls for Synplicity to begin development of certain enhancements to its Synplify Pro software in support of Lattice FPGAs, current and potential future customers should understand that any specific features, functionality, improvement and release timing remain at the sole discretion of Synplicity, and no warranty is made as to when or if any such specific features, functionality, improvement or release may occur.
