Samsung Electronics Licenses Synplicity's ASIC Synthesis Software

Samsung Adopts High-Performance Synplify ASIC Software, Enabling Customers to Achieve Outstanding Quality of Results

SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 6, 200 5 — Synplicity Inc. (Nasdaq: SYNP), a leading supplier of software for the design and verification of semiconductors, today announced its Synplify ASIC® synthesis software has been adopted by Samsung Electronics Co. and may now be used by Samsung’s ASIC customers. As a part of the relationship between the two companies, Samsung is integrating Synplicity’s ASIC synthesis software into its ASIC design flow as a qualified ASIC synthesis solution. In addition, Synplicity has added Samsung as the latest member of the Synplify ASIC vendor support program.
