HARDI Electronics Opens US Subsidiary Company to Showcase its HAPS Prototyping System at DAC (booth #365)

LUND, SWEDEN -- JUNE 9, 2005 -- HARDI Electronics, a leader in Rapid ASIC Prototyping Platforms, today announced broader expansion into the US market. The company has appointed a North American Sales Manager, formed a US subsidiary and added three more Independent Sales Representative organizations to its growing sales team. The company will be demonstrating its HARDI ASIC Prototyping System (HAPS) at the Design Automation Conference in Anaheim, Calif. June 13-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center, booth #365.

The company has appointed John Hoekstra as North American Sales Manager. Hoekstra has extensive experience in ASIC design, applications and sales. He has held various positions at United Technologies, AMI and Chip Express. The US Subsidiary, HARDI Electronics Inc. is located at 26831 Magdalena Lane, Mission Viejo, CA 92691, USA, Tel: +1-949-202-5572, Fax: +1-949-202-5645 and will be managed by Hoekstra.

"Increased customer awareness of the importance of hardware prototyping, coupled with HARDI’s unique, Lego-like approach for verifying designs in known hardware, is creating billowing demand for our HAPS system around the globe, and quite rapidly in the United States," said Lars-Eric Lundgren, president and CEO of HARDI. "John’s twenty years of related experience provides an ideal combination of in-depth technical understanding and hands-on field experience. We are fortunate to have him join our team as our North American Sales Manager."

"From the first time I saw HAPS, its ease of configuration, flexibility and performance attracted me," said Hoekstra. "On further research it became obvious that HARDI simply had the best product available on the market today."

In his first week with HARDI, Hoekstra has added three independent sales representatives: Delta Sales will handle the Pacific Northwest; Luscombe Engineering of Colorado is responsible for Colorado and Wyoming; and Luscombe Engineering of Utah will cover the Utah, Idaho and Montana territories. These additions, along with the recent appointments of Mission Technical Sales in Southern California, Exis in Northern California and Reptronix in Arizona and New Mexico, complete HARDI’s sales coverage in the west.

"Our customers can now evaluate complex ASIC designs in known, good hardware, at close to actual speed, in a matter of days – that’s fantastic," said Tim Hemphill, president of Luscombe – Utah. For more information on Luscombe – Utah, please visit www.lecut.com.

"Based on our years of ASIC experience, we saw HAPS as the risk reduction tool that every ASIC design manager needs to have," added Stan Gross president of Luscombe - Colorado. For more information on Luscombe – Colorado, please visit www.luscombecolo.com.

Steve Mowe, president of Delta Sales commented, "Immediate positive receptions at first customer meetings cemented our belief in the value of HAPS." For more information about Delta Sales, please visit www.deltasales.com.
