Field Applications Engineer (FAE), Nordic

Description: As a Field Applications Engineer, you will join a growing, enthusiastic sales organization providing technical presales support for FPGA/CPLD customers. You will interface with customers to review their tool requirements, present and demonstrate Synplicity's solutions, and train them on the use of our tools. You will also perform benchmarks and be heavily involved in the sales process. You will work with our sales people to drive their technical pre-sales activities.

You will be responsible for the timely resolution of customer issues and evaluating and forwarding tool enhancement requests into R&D. The FAE's responsibilities also include working directly with customers to gain a full understanding of their issues and successfully driving those issues to full customer satisfaction, either through independent work or by interfacing with other FAEs, CAEs, or R&D engineers. You will report to the Regional Sales Director for Nordic and be responsible for the Nordic markets.

Experience: BSEE degree preferred with at least five years of directly related system, EDA, or FPGA/ASIC experience. Experience with hardware design and knowledge of related design tools required. Working knowledge of VHDL and/or Verilog languages and logic synthesis required (expert knowledge preferred). Strong presentation skills and problem solving skills required.

Job Description
Responsible for growing Synplicity software and hardware business in the territory and build strong relations with influential and key persons at strategic customers. Certain major accounts as well as geographical area will be assigned. Other responsibilities include: ensuring customer satisfaction, building a strong team with FAE and other staff in the office, achieving sales plan, developing partner relationships in the region, and producing accurate forecasts

Experience
The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 year sales experience in sales, preferably in either EDA industry or FPGA devices.  Knowledge in hardware design and verification and FPGA devices are highly appreciated.  Good communication skills, highly motivated business attitude, and following Synplicity business ethics is required. BSEE or equivalent technical degree and English communication skills are preferable.
