DesignWare AEON Embedded Non-volatile Memory
Synopsys' DesignWare® AEON® embedded non-volatile memory (NVM) IP offers a comprehensive family of multiple time programmable (MTP) and few time programmable (FTP) embedded NVM IP solutions for a broad range of standard CMOS processes. Each solution has been developed with specific markets and use models in mind.
  • Performance = DesignWare AEON/MTP EEPROM embedded non-volatile memory IP sets the standard for performance. With demonstrated write cycle endurance up to 1,000,000 cycles at high temperatures and fully qualified to automotive grade standards (AEC-Q100) up to 150°C, the DesignWare AEON/MTP EEPROM architecture allows system architects to integrate advanced datalogging and calibration features into applications with extreme environmental and reliability requirements.
  • Power = DesignWare AEON/MTP radio-frequency identification (RFID) embedded non-volatile memory IP leads the industry in power performance. The DesignWare AEON/MTP RFID architecture's low power consumption enables longer read and write ranges for RFID tags, providing a competitive advantage in overall device performance.
  • Area = DesignWare AEON/FTP Trim embedded non-volatile memory IP is designed to replace traditional fuse and OTP technology, giving designers the flexibility of reprogrammability (up to 100 write cycles) that is required by today's sensor and precision analog components.

DesignWare NOVeA Embedded Non-volatile Memory
Based on the same production-proven technology as the DesignWare AEON embedded NVM IP solution, the DesignWare NOVeA® embedded non-volatile memory IP solution provides multi-time programmable NVM to mil/aero applications. Qualified in multiple nodes under the US government's Trusted Foundry program, the DesignWare NOVeA architecture has been integrated into multiple government and military funded systems-on-chip (SoCs). Designed with mil/aero applications in mind, the DesignWare NOVeA IP solution offers increased security compared to external non-volatile memory solutions and improved flexibility compared to commonly available one time programmable (OTP) solutions.
