Interoperability Description and Customer Benefit

Functional Safety is becoming increasingly important for the automotive industry. Synopsys provides a fault injection mechanism in its Virtual Prototyping solutions, but automotive companies' needs are not satisfied with this, because fault injection in the Virtual Prototype is at too high an abstraction level and needs fault injection on RTL to be mapped to the fault on the Virtual Prototype. Tool provides HW boards created from RTL with fault injection on the board. Tool aims to link their HW environment and Synopsys' Virtual Prototyping solutions to create fault mapping information between HW and the Virtual Prototype.
